This award honours and recognises an individual who has made an exemplary voluntary contribution. A WRNC volunteer who has demonstrated significant contribution or commitment in helping out the club, a team or special event. In presenting this award the WRNC hopes to raise the recognition profile of volunteers. It is acknowledged that it takes a team of volunteers to run the WRNC and this award aims to draw attention to the important contributions of those outside of the Club Administrator and elected Committee.
Marita Somerford has been a great supporter of Club and was awarded Life membership in 2010. She was a former Vice President, committee member and Manager of the club. As President of Perth Netball Association she supported the Region by working together to create a strong pathway for athletes, coaches and umpires.
