The Simone Barker 'Spirit of Netball' Perpetual Award

Awarded in honour of the late Simone Barker to the individual who has displayed commitment, inspiration, passion, sportsmanship & dedication towards the Club values of Spirit, United, Excellence which have enhanced & benefited the Western Roar Netball Club and it’s membership. The award recognises fair play, mutual respect, and pride in the Club and inspires others both within and outside the Club. 

Simone was the Perth Lions physiotherapist for seven years and was a recipient of this award in 2014. Her expertise, care, wisdom, professionalism inspired and affected so many members of our club. She was abreast of the latest techniques and helped many athletes recover from their injuries. She was a club person and great friend to the club.
